Seeing the miniature cow calves standing next to the mother cows does a good job of illustrating the small size that can be achieved in miniature cows. It also does a good job of showing the genetic diversity that cows in our herd have. Even though some mother cows are black and white, their offspring calves can still have significant color and pattern in their markings. This can be inhereted from the mother in many cases, that has these genes that are dormant. It also can be passed down from the bull. Hatch Farms prides itself on the small size of our herd of miniature cows. We also pride ourselves on the variety of color and types of markings in our miniature cow herd.
